Mark and Gavin will no doubt be along with specific information, but you might consider unbolting the neck and shipping it in a smaller box and not worrying much about the case.

Jackson has it. Pop the neck and send in 2 parcels. Of course, the case gets left behind.
Compared to Australia, US prices for second-hand are very reasonable. No need to tell you that it's a buyers market. The thing is getting them here. If it comes in a case, total cost to you (by the time it gets to the front door) is going to be approx another 70% on top of what you originally paid. My last 2 Basses came that way but IMO, I was still in front compared to what I'd pay here. And finding what you want here is another issue.
Mark, I believe, goes for neck removal.
Or do personal pick up...
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.
Stingray 5 Classic, coral red
Bongo 5 H, Dargie Delight, in some cave somewhere...
Bongo 5 HH, Black w/ rosewood neck
Heinz The Wonder Bass, going back to Jack...
If I was to do a personal pickup I would probably want about 50K spending cash to pick a whole bunch of others as well![]()
Fretless Bongo landing is emminent! Buy this because I know I will not play it once the Bongo arrives. Make me an offer.
