I love the melody to the song and figure it would be a great one to jump into (when I get my EBMM) after a 10+ year absence to guitar playing.

...you don't even have a guitar to play it on, goofy.

thats a pretty good powertab of it.

powertab>normal text tab...if you have any doubt about how timing should be done, powertab plays it for you

Powertab is pretty handy. Kids these days have it easy! I remember trying to work stuff out by ear ...

I wish someone would write a better interface for playing back powertab- it'd be great to loop passages and slow them down, etc. for working on really difficult stuff.

Guitar Pro can do that (to some extent). It can play a tune at 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1,25, 1.5 and 1.75 of its original speed. I've never tried making it loop a passage, but maybe it can do that too.

just tell powertab to repeat the mesaure with a repeat bar, set it to, i dunno, 20 repeats? and then slow the bpm down...its that easy

alot of my original composures come from noodling on powertab haha
