    String Height Adjustment on Axis

Hey folks....just got my new EBMM Axis. It has been some time since I had one, and I am not sure I ever even adjusted my old one. It is not jumping out at me as to how you go about adjusting the string height (action) on this guitar with the locking floyd trem system. The small screws on the saddles look like they just go back and forth for intonation. How do I lower the strings? Action is a little high for my taste. I think it is set up with 9s too and I use 10s. When I get the 10s on I am expecting to need a neck adjustment. Maybe not though as I almost always tune one half step down.

    Thanks,
    Pete

Tighten the truss rod slightly...It will lower the action. Put the 10's on it first so you wont have to adjust again.

    Thanks jongitarz.
I actually just went on the faq guitar link sticky and found some info on the setup of EBMMs. Sounds like if tightening the truss rod doesn't get the action where I want it before the neck relief is compromised I may have to add shims to the neck? Doesn't sound like something this amateur setup fiddler will do Might be time to check out a new guitar guy in my area.
I'll see what I can do first.

ALWAYS try and learn to do the work yourself....Who knows better than you how you want your guitar setup?

I agree with Jon. I just got my Rosewood board Axis back from a plek fret dress (a couple of high frets on the fingerboard after 8 years of no use!) and I still fiddled with the action and truss rod to get it to my liking!
