    Albert Lee's in Ohio

I am looking to find an Albert Lee model in the central Ohio area (or Knoxville TN area - see below for dates). As an owner of a Morse model for the last year, I really love the workmanship in the EBMM line. And the Morse offers great sounds and versitility. I've discovered I am more of a Strat player and may not need all the features the Morse axe offers. I would prefer a Strat type body contour and a conventional trem as opposed to the floyd rose type my Morse model has.

I played an Albert in Dayton last May but it recently sold. I was wondering if anyone has seen an AL in a store in Ohio or has one that either could be available for sale (or trade) or at least that I could check out an play for an hour or so. Again I am in the Columbus area. I will be in the Akron/Canton area this weekend and I will be in the Knoxville TN area the weekend of 12/16&17

    Thanks,
    Dave

Dave, have you used the MM instrument locator. This is what I did and it works pretty well.

Use this link to obtain the zip codes for the areas you'll be in.

    http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/citytown.jsp

Then use this link to see what available from dealer.

Good luck, the Albert Lee is a great guitar. If you are looking for a Strat style guitar you should also check out the Silhouette Special.

P.S. Have you posted any pictures of your Morse??

    Hope this helps, Glenn |B)

A Silo may also offer what you're looking for. It may be easier to find than an Al.

Yes, I did do the zip code, dealer search and also contacted MM. The closest one we could find was Nashville. Tempting as it was to order sight unseen, I held off. I even had someone to bring it back. I've rushed into 2 purchases in the last 2 years, hence I really want to play my next guitar and really make sure it is what I want. The AL is one I am looking at, a G&L Legacy is the other one I am looking at.

I am actually thinking of selling the Morse (Tommy has some inside info So, if anyone is interested in buying email me privately. Here are a couple of pics.

Well dude if you can locate a GC and there is an AL at another GC in the country you could have them ship it to the GC near you. My AL went from the Hollywood GC (Where Keith played it), to the Phoneix GC where I located it. Then I had them send it to Natick (Mass) GC that's like 15-20 minutes from work.

Give GC a call have them check the rest of the country and see if any other stores have an AL.

    Good luck, Glenn |B)

Glen, thanks for the suggestion. I got real close. There is a non-trem AL in Chicago. But I want to hold out for a trem version.

    Dave,

Sometimes the guys at HQ have been known to track down a guitar in the distribution channel for one of us here.

try them as a last resort. Not sure who, maybe Dargin or Dan.
