    How much pressure do you apply to your truss rod?

    Just wondering, as I can't actually seem to be able to shift the lil wheel at the end of the neck on my Silhouette, have you all found that you need to put in a LOT of elbow grease to even get it to move in the slightest?

    Or is there a chance that with it being a 10yr old instrument it may have seized up or something?

    Apply a little 3 in 1 Oil and let it penetrate. Then try turning it the opposiste way that it WON"t turn, freeing up the nut...just be careful....

    I'm at home ill for the week with flu, so I decided I'd take the time to set up all my guitars properly, and actually tackle things like sorting out the sea of leads inhabiting various parts of the house!

    Might just be the flu that's weakened me, hopefully anyway! I'll leave it till I'm feeling better. If not I'll grab some of that oil and get her lubed up!

    I've had some that turn easier than others...his is 10 years old so that may be why. A brand new one may be a tad stiff, but once it got worked in a bit, I'm sure it will be easier...

    My EVH rod is quite tricky to turn, whilst the others move easily. Maybe it does need some oil to free it up?
