    Looks like someone had it painted that way though. There is no decal or JP's sig.

    Actually if you look closely it looks like the logo is there, maybe its just really faded?

    In one picture you can see the outline of the logo as if it had been painted over.

    Probably just a faded logo-I think the gold logos have a tendency to fade with time, whether the guitar is played often or not.

    At first, I thought it was a painted over natural headstock, but then the lettering would be black but you can see some gold in the "ghost" logo. I guess it's a faded logo, though I've never seen such a drastic fading.

    My gold logo on my PRB JP7 faded really bad. You almost can't even see it (much like that picture).
