    Anybody see an Albert Lee F.S.?

    Hi all;

    Has anybody got a line on an Albert Lee for sale? Used or new? I've been scouring the net, and have found a few I'm trying to get info. on (hard to find ones "in stock" with various dealers) but I thought that maybe some of the people on the forum might be in the know if there are any around. I'd like a trem model, but a hardtail would be ok (always thought trems were cool, but other than a Gretsch w/Bigsby never really used one)...anyway

    I have this relatively new SUB I've mentioned on the forum (which is great) but I'm playing in a band situation where single coils would sit better, it turns out.

    btw-I saw/played a silhouette hardtail w/3 fender noiseless single coils and a gloss-finished maple neck & board around here...I didn't think EBMM did gloss maple necks, anybody seen/played anything like that or know if it's a special model or something? I've thought about buying it (nice price) if I can't find an Albert....

    Thanks for any info.

    Steve

    There have been a few great AL's on Ebay over the last couple of months.
    I don't know where you are situated (it's useful if you include it in your user details)
    but I have seen 3 in the USA and 1 in the UK. There was one being sold by a forum member abot a week or so ago.
    The US ones went for between $700 - $800 dollars.
    I'd just keep patiently looking out for one.

    Truetone Music in Santa Monica CALIF, had a nice sunburst one a while back. Haven't been there in a while, but it was hanging there for a while.

    There's been one hanging on the wall of Dan's Guitars (http://dansguitars.com/) for at least two years. I can't remember if it has a trem. Somebody ought to go rescue the poor thing.

    I'll see if I can take a snapshot or something later this week. I know that it does not have MM-90s.

    I've not been able to get down to Dan's Guitars yet, but the online dealer inventory shows that they have this:

    A_Lee_Sss_Std T_Gold Mpl_Match Shell_Pg

    which looks like this: http://ernieball.com/mmonline/dealer....gif&model=920

    which I'm pretty sure is what I've been seeing hanging on the wall there for 2-3 years (or more) now.
