That flame is stunning! I was leaning towards the quilt, but I'll have to re-think that one.

    Thanks for the pics.

I opted for the upgraded flamed top. We'll see hopefully in the next few months.

I preffer the Quilt on this guitar as well. However have been wanting to see how the flame looks on this specific work of art, and it looks pretty damn beautiful as well. But I almost always preffer the quilt because it reminds me of water and the sky, even tho this is not blue . Maybe the next experiment on a guitar with a maplr top should be some kind of a Sky Burst, that has like grayness and blueness in it for the cloulds and such, Anyway, I'll stop now.

    Which one to choose?

I think I'd go with the quilt on this one. But the maple is stunning as well.

Not sure how EBMM puts together their maple tops. I assume that's two pieces of maple. If that's the case, you guys have done an incredible job of matching them

They are bookmatched ( 2 pieces), and the guys doing it in the woodshop are going a KILLER job matching them up.

Does anyone know if when you do not order the premium top, do you still have the choice between flame or quilt?

I dont think you have a choice in that case. I believe it's a nice surprise. I just hope there wont be any people that order one and than bitch about not getting "enough" flame or quilt like that "not enough birdseye" incident .
