    I've heard the same but don't believe it's an issue.
    I've had several Guitars, including "boutique" stuff, with BE and Flamed Maple.
    No troubles, even an old Hamer that was built for Wolf Hoffmen of Accept, had a Floyd w/a BE neck. The guy that has it now say's it's his fav shred.

    As of now I have my Luke, with another on order and a Huber w/Flame and vintage type Trem...no troubles.

    Whoa !! did I say that? Must of been suffering from acute temporary birdseye neck envy. Actually, who wouldn't want a birdseye neck on ANY guitar?

    I retract the above statement. I would prefer to have a nice BE neck on my Silo. But I like the neck that is on it.

    yeah you were off the planet mate, birdseye is way cool! even though i love my Silo special with no b'eye, i'd like it a whole lot more if it had crazy b'eye! still, its an amzing sounding and is wonderfully smooth to play.
