Shogun: do you find a big difference in tone between the Old JP pickup and the new one? I'm thinking of getting my hands on a Steve's special to try in my JP.

i haven't got much of a chance to compare them yet. at least not to an A/B level of comparison. i believe JP himself said that the new pickup was tighter in the low end, and fatter on the treble strings. if you really want, you can try my old jp out yourself, considering I live an hour away from you, in woodstock

I got my latest JP at musicstop, was just in again today.. do you know jesse? (works there)
