whitestrat...thanks...no..that's the way it came. Found out it's an Axis made in November of 98.

As far as the other guitar...definitely not a Framus...that's one of my Reverends. (All time favorite guitars)...although the more I play the Axis...I'm starting to convert a little!

I really like the solid color theme. I like the "sleeper" look!

To answer the Egnater question...I love it. I got it just 3 days prior to my last gig. I was worried about taking a new amp to a gig with out getting used to it...but with the 4 channels I was able to empty my pedal board a bit and everything was fine.

2 clean channels, 2 overdrive, you can individually switch each channels power settings from 10,20,25,50,or 100 watts....and change between a classic voicing or a modern voicing. You can also disable the eq section on each channel and use one knob to countor the sound if you like. It's got a bunch of tone possibilites and gain choices. I love it. Now...the 2x12 ext cab comes out this month...I think I'll get one.

    Only downside....this thing is HEAVY!

OK...back to guitars now. I guess I can claim being a "new guy" to get away with rattling on about my amp...I'll try and keep that under control!

    Here's my JP group photo

Dargie Delight JP6, Autumn Redrise JP6, Blue Dawn JP6 (2001), Molten Gemstone JP7

The Blue Dawn was my first EB - When we first started selling EB in '04 we had a few JPs come through in the beginning. I loved the neck profile and how easily the guitar played, so I started searching for one in Blue Dawn because I'm a blue freak. That one turned up and I grabbed it! This is my go-to guitar for the studio.

The Molten Gemstone JP7 received a cracked body by UPS while on the way to a customer. We aren't talking about a stress crack, there were chunks of wood from the neck pocket floating around inside the case (which was destroyed), and the neck was all twisted up. I was able to glue the body back together, and by hammering on the truss rod I got the neck to somehow come back. I use this guitar when writing <gasp> 7-string parts!

Naturally, when the Dargies came out I had to grab a JP6. I used the excuse "I need this guitar to gig with" Yes, that currently has an old-style bridge pickup. The Dargie JP is my gigging guitar, with the following axe in the back-up slot.

The Redrise first came to my attention when the Dargies were in the store. I had a customer ask if I wanted to buy it. I didn't jump right on it because of the natural headstock, and I'm a matching type of guy. I decided to offer to take it as trade-in towards their Dargie, but I was too late - they had already sold the guitar. I finally tracked it down back in March and I didn't let it get away from me!

I'm going to try and take a family photo later on this week.
