    I just saw the nut from the headstock closeup. There are some extra cuts on it. Is that what makes it a compensated nut?

    yup---the compensated nut has notches in it to create the compensated scale length for each individual string.

    jaw dropping! I'm still WAITING for mine to be delivered. I'm thinking any MINUTE.
    Is that a "bone" nut? I just finished the summer run of the musical "Rocky Horror Picture Show". I used my Pet. for the whole show. Just a monster for versatility, but a slightly more aggressive bridge pup would've come in handy for some things.
