    About time intro:

Thought maybe I should introduce myself, officially.

My name’s Bruce, and I’ve been enjoying this forum a lot. To me, it shows great style that a guitar company would create such a forum for their loyal fans and customers, and participate in it as well!

During earlier times, I was a striving singer/songwriter, and have toured as an opener for folks like John Prine and Leon Redbone. Now ‘days, I just play for pleasure: jams and a few gigs at a local Christian studio, which is a bit surprising that they use me, considering I’m a Taoist.

Over many years, like many of you, I have owned and played dozens of guitars. In the last decade I’ve settled down with some pretty nice G&L’s. That is until I bought my first EBMM only about year or so ago. Now I wonder why I struggled all those years trying to find guitar bliss with anything else. I should have made the switch long ago, and let me tell you why:

About 7 years ago I custom ordered a G&L Legacy hard-tail from a local shop in Reno, NV. While the store owner was on the phone placing my order with the good G&L folks, I happened to notice a rather understated and compact guitar hanging on the store wall: a Silhouette Special. I picked it up and started noodling around, and I was blown away by the ease in which it melted into my hands and accommodated my guitar style! I wanted to shout to the store owner, who was still placing my order “HOLD EVERYTHING!” But you know how it is when you say you’ll do something and then later have second thoughts. Integrity isn’t always easy to maintain, but what’s right is right. So, I sadly hung that compact gem back on the wall, and continued on my way, only sort of content, but never really completely satisfied with my guitars, until now.

I have to say - and I’m not one to flatter anyone or kiss butt - that, I LOVE my Balls! Seriously, I’ve never in my life been this happy with a guitar, much less two!

    Thanks, EBMM, and all you.
    Bruce

Nice meeting you Bruce... cool story. There is a thread that was started a long time ago where a bunch of people introduced themselves. I couldn't find it, but if you do it will be a good place to get to learn about the people that hang here.

    Cheers!
