SKB case more protective than LE guitars?

I see the SKB case as a crash helmet, wheras the LTD case is like a knight's helmet. I really believe the SKB case protects the guitar much better from blows than does the G&G style LTD case - like a crash helmet the SKB absorbs the blow and deforms. However, it'll only do it once (and then it's broken), but I'd rather replace a guitar case than a guitar.

I'll go with that analogy.

But, that initself is why I prefer the LE case.

You see, I got one of the 1st gen JP7 cases, it's super form-fitting (not loose like my new one is), so I don't want to give that up.

So instead of getting a new case I just duct tape the hell out of it.
