id just buy a new luke with piezo, and it would be the BFR for sure!!!! dont bother butchering a perfectly good luke just for the piezo. if something goes wrong it would be most upsetting.

I agree with the other guys. I am fairly technically oriented and I would never want to mess with this. Aftermarket wouldn't be as good as the EBMM system anyway. Get one with piezo already installed if possible.

    Hey Ponch,
I got a Black Sparkle Luke without Piezo, and recently got a Blue Pearl Luke with Piezo. I agree with the guys, the Musicman Piezo rocks. You won't be disappointed, I love these guitars to bits. I mainly play the Black Sparkle in a gig situation as it looks so cool when the lights reflect off the sparkle finish. I mainly use the piezo Luke in studio environments. Been using Roland VG88's for a couple of years now, to get the acoustic sounds but as soon as I got my Luke with piezo pre installed I was blown away by how crystal clear piezo sounded. Haven't used the VG88 since !!!
