    I think they meant thicker (as in girth) rather than width.

    I was thinking my quilt wasn't up to the level of some others on here, but well I guess it looks "ok" in this photo.

    The top is much more subdued "in person", the camera flash really brings it out at the right angle. The fretboard is not as light as the photo looks either. Good luck with yours. They're fantastic guitars.

    I find the same is true of my Amethyst BFR JP7. The camera flash really brings out the quilt.

    It all depends on the lighting. If I'm on stage with lights coming down on me and the guitar, you can see the quilt really well. My house doesn't get very good natural light. I'm going to have to get some outdoor shots on the next sunny day we have.

    The color is pretty true to life in that photo.
