Well, Pete... you've always had good taste in guitar colors, what with the Blue Dawn collection and all, so I find your comment very validating!

Man, a quilted JP with a trans-blue finish has been my dream since I first gawked at the EBMM color chart. I'm kind of afraid that I'll neglect my other EBMM's once this baby is hatched, ordered and received!

Gosh, I knew this was going to be a better year than last year. And I just got out from under paying two mortgages, so I might manage to save some nickels for this guitar! (I'd buy it if I had to take a second job flipping burgers, though.)

BP, good luck to you and the crew at SLO and Coachella. Here's hoping you knock the cover off the ball.

I was talking to Frank from Egnater. He basically complimented you and your products, saying they were the most "under known" brand of great guitars. He really seemed to like kneeoh's JP, especially the piezo part, and my 20th.

I hope you get a lot more people to drink the Kool-Aid.

Dargin, thanks for posting pics. Didn't know how busy y'all were, preparing for the show. Good luck! We all know you need more than us Knuckleheads to buy these fantastic guitars and basses.

I have a question about the maple top...

How thick is it? or is it a veneer? Curious because of the arm contour, I'd think it would have to be pretty slim to be bent.

Cool looking for sure... Resisting GAS.... resistance is futile... ugh

Please everyone dont react anymore when someone complains about a price when we havent announced one and calls guitars cheesy that they havesnt seen or played. Pics are really hard and these are just seak peaks because we are actually working our asses of to get ready for a show that determines our year. When we get more time we will post cleaner photos. Wish us luck.....I remember the dismal sparkle year...we were so excited and thought we knocked the cover of the ball and we pooped our pants....
I thought you did knock the cover off the ball... I think some of those sparkles are way too cool... It's the generaly guitar buying public that doesn't know what they are doing. LOL

I've wondered about the price thing.... I keep reading people say.. "oh man, that thing is gonna cost 4 grand." lol. A lot of guesses about price, and all guessing super high so the surprise will be that it's lower than expected. LOL

Man, when I look at these and think, "the only thing that I wish are the scoop, and a purple stain", for such a redesign of the guitar, I can't imagine that you didn't knock the cover off the ball with this one... it's just a wonderful looking instrument with the same spirit of the other JPs. I can't wait to hear one, and someday acquire one.

EDIT: I wanted to add re the arm scoop... I think people should consider that the lack of arm scoop is probably a compromise we would all prefer cosmetics wise... to scoop that out with a maple top would mean scooping throught he maple to the alder.... would look a little strange to most of us.

I for one would just like to thank the All at EBMM for sharing this stuff. I would also like to add that I have seen one particular guitar that they pictured and then seen it in person at it was way different. Now I am not saying anything bad about the way they take this pics, so please don't take it this way, it is just that maple wheather it be flame of quilt, does change with light. Just look at the pic of the F1 proto and then look at some of the pics of John playing it live and you can defenetelly see the difference.
    Anyway just my 2cents.

I thought the sparkles were fantastic. IMO, they were some of the prettiest guitars you guys have made.

I felt that you guys had pushed the envelope. Hope you guys get alot of orders and interest at NAMM.

    Quick question:

I understand that the four colours shown/discussed will be all that are available initially. Are there any plans at the moment to introduce a sunbursty-type finish similar to the ones we have seen JP playing recently later on?

    Many thanks in anticipation.

Good luck at NAMM tomorrow guys - hope you get lots of positive feedback.

Can't wait to see some BFR Sterling love or some Albert Lee love! I really appreciate you guys showing us these before everyone else - it's this kind of thing and the personal attention that really makes this place special. In return, I'll try and commit to helping towards the purchase of a new pair of shoes for BP this year

    I love this place.

(and yes, I have been drinking)
