... as a matter of exteme interest, what UK price were you quoted... I can't find out. I'm gonna sell one of my custom shop Jacksons and would kind of like to know how much I'm spending on top.

full retail price is ok to be told. just not street/dealer price.

The official RRP I've been quoted is better than first feared: £2495. The JP F1 from memory is £2895 for the JP6 and £2995 for the JP7. Double the figures to get the dollar equivalent at today's exchange rate. A lot of money still, and I'm struggling to find enough in all honesty. Hope I do, but I may have to pass if it arrives in the next 2-3 months

Ball Family Reserve. They're a new line EB is coming out with that are basically supercharged JP's and Luke's. The BFR Luke is called a BFR Luke and the BFR JP is called a JP F-1 for some odd reason. I empathize with you not knowing that because the search engine won't accept "BFR" or "f-1" and it took me forever to figure it out.

During the prototyping of the F-1, the guitar was deemed to be the "ultimate speed machine" by either JP or EBMM or both. Thus, it was dubbed the F-1 as in Formula 1. As some forumites might remember, there was talk of a Lamborghini Petrucci. I wonder if some of the thinking that went into that idea ended up being worked into the F-1.
