    eg,

How the hell did November Rain get in (especially the YouTube version), with no mention of Sweet Child O' Mine ?.

These rankings are always very subjective... I personnally like the November Rain solo, I just find it very melodic (for lack of a better term), but I can see why some people might not consider it one of the 20 greatest ever.

not so bad, seen worse lists!! November Rain is deinitely cool though, but im not sure its better than Sweet child. Both are fabulous solos, but i lean more towards more melodic solos these days, and NR is one of the very best melodic solos of all time.

    Yeah, awesome melodic solo.
Sweet Child just gets my vote for the way it builds and climaxes the entire song, not to mention the intro etc.

I find November Rain a little tedious.
I think Slash was on different Planets for each album.

I saw them around this time with Curved Air supporting.

I even had one of those "Star T shirts" as worn by Bill Ward.

Pure volume - Little effects - Awesome show.

Spud, I'd join you in that effort but I was only just born in 1970, and I don't think the diapers would fit anymore.

Does anyone have the picture of Slash playing a Silo? Heard a while back that Slash played one. Wondering how it looked like on Slash...

Marillion are one of my favourite bands, ever since hearing Misplaced Childhood when it first came out back in '86!

Easter is a great track and one of the few solos I bothered to learn note for note.

MFreak I was thinking about doing the M weekend thing but backed out, now if I'd known a forumite was gonna be there too...

Rob, if you want to get a good taste of Marillion get the most recent album, Marbles...

Still a Clutching At Straws fan though
