    If it's been 4 months without the noise I think your tech got it taken care of.

    I had the same problem once with a Patrick eggle guitar which were the bees knees in the UK for a short and it did turn out to be the trem springs rubbing against the wood.My local guitar repairer took shavings of wood away from the spring cavity where the springs were rubbing but not enough to ever solve the problem!
