I dont own a gig bag. But this one looks pretty cool, I have several products from them and they are very well crafted. I own a backpack, and 2 ipod cases and a laptop sleeve.

My second hand SS came with a case and a gig bag.......so I recommend the Ernie Ball Music Man bag!! It says on the back it's made in Canada by Levys. I'd always prefer the case unless space and weight were the only issues.

A MusicMan should be carried in a MusicMan gig bag - I don't use gig bags, I prefer to use the hardshell cases. I do, however, have a spare MusicMan gig bag - if you're interested, feel free to PM me....

Someone on here posted about a Body Glove gig bag that looked really interesting. Says it offers the protection of a hardshell in a gig bag.

i always use gig bags for my balls, and not even good ones really!!! which is bad i know, but they have been fine for me. no damage has ever happened to my balls as a result of gig bags.

No EBMM yet, but I haul my Ibanez RG in a Tribal Planet semi-soft case/bag I bought in Tokyo. It has lots of foam inserts that you can use to fit the form of the guitar. I'm pretty happy with how its performed, though I think I'll stick with hard cases from now on (just cause you can really beat them up). Tribal Planet GsX Series

ALL the time. I have a single and a double gig back. Both are Levy's, the super thick kind. Those incase look really nice, but freakin' expensive.

I have used a gig bag for years going in and out of stuidos and rehearsals and a good bag will protect, I live in NYC so its necessary to use a bag to get in and outta cabs and stuff, but everyone here uses gig bags, get the LEVY's, they are by far the best, I do however use my hardshell case when I goto gigs, because at bars in manhattan things can get crazy and they usually have you pile up your stuff in the corner til your ready to play, otherwise I use the gig bag -

The MusicMan gig bag (made by Levy's, I believe), is a good bag.

Why would one want to use a gig bag over a hard shell case? Any advantages I am not thinking of?
