    video of my bender AL

Well video........, it is actually a very, very short clip recorded with a digital photocamera .

There's no band or anything, just a short lick to demonstrate the b and g benders.

The lick is my attempt to play the pedalsteel solo in Ricky Skaggs's 'Highway 40 blues'
I hope we have some country fans around here?

Ignore the first second of the lick, i went wrong and started over again. also, for some reason sound and pictures don't run simultaniously. I just registered there and this is my first upload.

    Here it is:

    Nice
I know how having one bender works, but how does it work when you have two of them installed?
When you push the body down, does it automatically bend both strings or what?

No, not automatically both at the same time. The b is activated by pushing the neck down, the g is activated by pushing the neck out.

Funny thing is that i did find out a way to activate both benders at the same. The very last fragment of the youtube lick is done using both benders at the same time.
I'm not really pushing out and i'm not really pushing down but somewhere in between. This way both benders will be activated.

    Rob
He uses a b bender fitted to a tele in some of his early instructional DVD's.

I bleeb that he had one factory fitted by EB into one of his AL's - but couldn't be 100% sure.

I haven't seen him use a bender live though, on the 2 occasions I've seen him.

    Thanks for the compliments guys

I believe Albert's own pinkburst EB bender doesn't have a bellycut, i'm not completely sure but i think i read that somewhere.

Bill Bores' goal with my guitar was to design a unit that could fit in the small Al body without having to route the back.

Designing this one took some time and as a compensation he did sent me a Tele with a bender, how cool is that?

It is indeed great fun playing this guitar.

    Nice playing.
What the heck are these "benders" I'm all of a sudden reading about in a few threads???
I saw the picture and to me just looks like a weird strap lock, but I'm guessing it's quite a bit more.

yeah Foggy, when you pull up on the strap it bends the B string up a tone/2 frets. or in this case the dude has 2 benders!!!

He did a great job with the design, it seems. Very nicely done.
