    PUPs on the Silos?

Does EBMM ever make Silhouettes with a H H configuration? I know the standard HSH config is pretty cool... but my previous Ibanez had that arrangement, and I just thought it was too "busy". It seemed that the pickups were always in the way when I was picking the strings.

So, I was curious if the Silos ever come in a H H config. Or is that model just called the John Petrucci?

You need to improve your pick technique !

It is quite crammed on the Silo, the extra 2 frets doesn't help, but the picking thing shouldn't be a problem

Yeah, the 20th is an awesome instrument. I was wondering if the standard Silo was ever done up that way as well.

Both of my Silos are HSS.

I am in the LBC too. Where do you hang out?

    A kinder, gentler collection...

You could get a Sub... Honestly the Sub 1 is lacking nothing but cosmetics and those extra two frets. Amazing instrument really, sad that guitars made in sweatshops sometimes go for more on ebay (and even new O.o)

Some folks just don't know what they are missing I guess

    Check the sig.

I do like the SUB1 - it's an H H too. I just got it two weeks ago. I was actually playing the SUB1 quite alot since I traded it for my old Ibanez. However, I do have to admit that it gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. I LOVE the contours on the Silo Spec where your right wrist accesses the body. The SUB1 unfortunately doesn't have the same contours on the body.

yes older silos had an option to choose your pup config (HSH, SSH, HH and SSS) I think. Then other models came out (silo special) and they stopped doing that

I guess one could always do that. I am not planning on buying any more guitars this year anyway. I was just wondering as I have seen some Silos in different configurations, but never as a H H.

I guess Philip is probably right. The Silos I had seen on 'net with different pickups are probably older models.

If you are crazy you could contour the Sub (I mean crazy brave). I've thought this might be cool, but warranty would be gone and that textured finish seems like it would be hard to duplicate
