Tell me about the D-Sonic in the JP6 and JP7 please?

Hey guys,

So I know there are fellas on here who have JPs with both the older bridge pickup and the newer bridge pickup. Have any of you A/B'ed them directly, or at least tried out both of them in JP model guitars? I'm curious if you liked one more than the other? How does the D-Sonic sound in the newer guitars? Also, if you don't like the D-Sonic in the bridge can you purchase the older-style stock DiMarzio from EB through a dealer? Thanks!
