Question Setting tem on Axis SS

When I first got my Supersport, I seem to remember the tremelo being much lighter to use than it is now. Don't know if it's just me, but for the bridge not to float ( I believe that's how it's designed) I have 3 springs wound in a fair way making operatation of the trem arm quite a heavy and stiff affair. Strings are EB Regular slinkys 10-46. Am I missing something ?

Its amazing what you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit

I also have ASS with 10s and use 3 springs for none floating bridge.

None floating is always going to be a bit stiffer than floating, compromise tuning stability for stiffness
