Floyd Rose "Fastloader" locking Tremolo System

Hey guys, has anyone tried one of these? I hadn't heard of Floyd Rose debuting a system like this, and there's no word of it on the FR page ( Floyd Rose ).
You can see the details here:

If you're referring to the Speedloader system, I have a guitar on order from MF with one (The price was insanely cheap, $149 for a FR Discovery guitar with HSS configuration). Once it arrives (it's backordered apparently) I'll give a quick review of it. I went ahead and ordered some spare strings too because I guess they are relatively hard to find around town, etc.

actually this one that I linked to is a little different...it uses standard strings, I believe its like a standard floyd, rather than a speedloader, but the saddles accomodate ball ends, rather than snipped strings.

I think this is a spinoff from the Floyd Rose II system. If I'm not mistaken, it used a similar setup for ball-end strings. The strings actually fed through the trem side locking screws.

I don't think the Floyd is obsolete, but I do think that there have been trem systems like (MM's) that have made Floyds a little less of a necessity for tuning stability.

If they were obsolete, guitar builders wouldn't be using them.
Currently modding the heck out of a SBMM SILO30

I say obsolete really because now there are things that are better. I think if more knew about the better systems, they'd die out pretty fast...

+1. People ask for Floyds by name same as they ask for anything else by name. *shrug* MM certainly has a better system, the locking tuners and straight string pull make a locking nut unneccesary.
I like to play with my balls. Is that a problem?

I'm not sure that its not necessary for Vai-like whammy madness, but floyds aren't to my personal taste...I can see their use for sure though.

I abuse my trems to death, and in practice my drummer even pointed it out "how does that thing stay in tune?"

The Lukes trem is as stable as any non locking trem I have ever used period. But still when you get caught in the dive bomb after dive bomb it can drop out a little. Thats why I want to find a Axis. I'll have it all covered Luke+Axis=tone heaven

I like the tone of Floyds...... real Floyds that is... I can't understand the problem some people seem to have with them... I have a Luke 2 with the EBMM non locking trem and yes it's great... but I also have had in the past guitars with Floyds that also had great tone.... I think they get a bad rap because of all the cheap copies that sounded crap and didn't work properly.... ORIGINAL Floyds in a good guitar can sound really great... and I'm not a divebomber... it's the tone Im talking about here...
