Exclamation Has anyone ever had their guitar give them magic guitar playing powers?

My Mystic Dream JP 6 did that. It has magically made me play better - on all other guitars.

I can now pick up any of my other non EB guitars (such a shameful admission I know) and I can play far better, pick cleaner and shred much faster than just a few months ago. I don't play more than I did previously, so it's not just practice.

It is most definitely this guitar that gave me these powers. I have owed dozens of other guitars - Jackson, ESP, Carvin, Peavey, BC rich, etc. I have really stunk on all of those, for quite a few years. Now my wife, dog, and two cats all gather around me when I play, to stare with amazed and adoring gazes, while birds come down from the trees to sit on my windowsill and bask in the sonic glory I conjure forth.

It is the most comfortable and easiest playing guitar i have ever personally tried, but it goes beyond the superlative crafting (possibly involving witch crafting?) and playability.

Did JP play my guitar in the factory, and infuse it with his Mojo?

Has this happened before? Is there any risk I'll become too good, and destroy the world? Or worse still, any chance the powers will simply fade away? Please advise me!!!

Not quite magical, but playing my Morse has improved my picking tremendously. Maybe it's all the practice I've been doing with it since it's so much fun to play ...

For me, it was the AL, plugged into a 15W Class Amp with a Sparkle Drive, something magic happened to my playing. I could hear things I had never heard before. It was humbling and inspiring at the same time. Congrats on yours!

I think EBMM guitars just inspire you to play more often, which eventually improves your playing.

I feel like my playing has improved since I got my SS, but that is probably because I am playing a lot more. It definitely makes me want to play more.

However, I can't blame the guitar for my sucking.

The EBMM are just so easy to play! They give everyone magic powers!

And, frankly, that's it in a nutshell. We all (ok me) spend too much time surfing, looking at gear and playing and practicing more would make all the difference.

I'd always had trouble with pushing the strings up and adding vibrato - ya know the Kossoff type vibrato.

I bought my AL and fell in love with the neck and I swear that it's because of the AL that my vibrato on the up has improved. I always had a good vibrato pulling the strings down (like Albert Lee apparently!).

So yeah - I'd like to think that a little magic crept in there.

Well ever since i moved to EBMM 3 years ago my playing has got better for sure, as now i'm enjoying the guitars i play instead of struggling to find reasons to like them. now i'm freakin INSANE about them!!! my usual Saturday was "i guess i'll go down to my local store and see if theres some other brand i havent played yet", but no just Fenders and Gibsons and Ibanez's, same old. When i first got my hands on a Luke- WOAH! Then 2 years later i found the AL- DOUBLE WOAH!
My name is Rob and I'm an AL-coholic!
The MM90 AL is the most underrated axe on the planet!

I buy my balls from the number one EBMM dealer in Australia, the all round nice guy and legendary Colin! His website is www.guitarplanet.com.au Give him a call to order your balls!!!!!

My insanity has also begun... I have a BFR JP Bahama Blue Burst coming in a few days!

I know exactly what you mean about EBMM guitars. Although I can use my newfound powers on any guitar, I spend 99% of my time playing the JP. I just found it awesome that my JP has refined and increased my abilities so much.

It's the necks. I can play my JP7 all day without any issue of stickiness whereas my other guitars get about an hour before I either have to wipe them down or just get disgusted and put them away. Then again, the Mystic Dream finish has some secret mojo. I still can't figure out how it does what it does. My kids and I spend countless hours walking around it. Hopefully EB hasn't sacrificed too many goats to achieve this effect.
