Overpriced? - is a moot discussion point as Sterling has to support the distribution network over here -Strings and Things, which he has a lot of respect for.

I do plan on getting over to the states and will prolly buy a guitar whilst over there, (realising that the warranty will not be valid in the UK)

I am not one for buying pretty pretty guitars - and am even looking at the possibility of a of a Pet or a Luke - prolly second hand

Used balls are highly under-rated, the thought that you can get one of these amazing guitars for sometimes a third of the rrp is out of this world. - I'll buy new when I can - but for me used is a lifeline.

The UK RRP is fair when you sit down and work out how much it would cost for you to buy one in the US ship it over, pay VAT, customs, etc. - and you have overheads.

We're planning a family holiday to the US - might be taking an extra suitcase - the only thing to bear in mind is they have customs officers at most UK airports with a knowledge of guitars, the thing in the 90's used to be buy a squier in the UK and come back with a custom shop ! - maybe you should take an OLP out spud!

i have alot of respect too for S&T spud dont get me wrong.pete from S&t gave me afree EB musicman polo shirt with my BFR so i appreciate their customer service as i was looked after well.

my point is really that if i could get one while on hols in the usa then it would be fantastic and would save me alot of money.i too am planning to go to the usa as i have never been there so what a way to top the holiday with a new musicman for my guitar collection!

That's exactly what I would like to do too - unless of course one comes up for sale on the forum that I can't resist
