    Hey guys,
i was playing with my BFR this morning before work and noticed theres abit of a rattle from the G-string coming through the amp.anyone else have this problem?its only this string as ive checked all the rest of them with alot of concentration on the ringing of each string and the others seem fine.

How old are your strings ? Before changing anything (intonation, for instance), it's always a good idea to change the strings.

You hear the buzzing acoustically? Then yup, strings and then check relief and truss rod adjustment.

    OCTOBER?!

Dude. Change the strings. That's probably your problem!

I've found that I've don't change strings for an extended period of time that MANY things can go wrong. String buzzing, crap tuning stability.. besides the obvious crap sound of course.

Well regardless, the climate has changed since October- so this might just be a case of adjusting the truss rod.

Change the strings, give the fretboard a wonder wiping, then if it's still buzzing a truss rood tweak and you're probably all set.

i got my BFR at the end of sept 2007 last.will i put RPS 9-42 strings on it or RPS 10-46 on it??the guy who replied to my query just before you mate said that BFR,s shipped before nov 2007 had 10-46,s on them.

il go to my local music shop tomorrow and buy RPS 9-42 gauge i think and after restringing il let you know.it seems to be buzzing around the 2nd and 9th fret and when played open.its annoying to be honest so im anxious to get it sorted asap.

thanks for the advice guys, will let ye know tomorrow.

You know what... I'm gonna be DIFFERENT!

I had a similar problem with mine... and it was actually not the strings! The nut was cut about 1 mm to deep... i put a little piece of plastic in the nut and it fixed it up very nicely.
