It's harder to get it to swing loosely than to be tight actually (at least on mine), but both are doable.

Ok thanks. I prefer it tighter, sometimes for certain pieces I need it to stay put in one spot.

Also, can you get flutters out of this trem.

Seems like I am being picky, but without finding a Silo to play on, I am going on word of mouth and the EB rep.

    Thanks.

there's an adjustment hex screw on the back of the trem bridge that pushes up against the arm... u depress the trem to expose the bridge and u can tighten/loosen to your liking.

mine is set reasonably tight.. if i let go it will stay where i left it pretty much.

re. flutters - if you adjust the trem to be slightly floating (so angled upwards off the deck) by a few millimetres, then you can get nice fluid movement back and forth. I assume that's what you mean by flutters.

When my BFR Albert came from factory, they included 2 more springs in a plastic bag in the case would this help to tighten my loose trem arm? just by adding the sprigs to the claw bar on the back of my AL.Right now there are two springs holding the trem arem.

    Thanks Parker

Do you mean the screw on the bottom of the block? (visible when removing the trem cover) or the little screw on the back? (visible when pressing the arm down) I'd like to get it swinging loose. Also, do I need to remove the strings when adjusting this screw, or can I do it "live" ?

Little bump. I'd rather have some advice before I get a face twang from the strings on my guitar...

    Hey Parker!
To answer your question, No! The springs are for adding more tension to the bridge itself making it harder or softer to push down on the arm for vibrato or dive bombs stuff like that! Or if you were to go up or down in gauge of strings you can balance out the difference in tension with the springs. To make the trem arm tighter so it stays in place you need to tighten the little hex screw on the back of the trem or behind the trem plate. Just push down on the trem and look behind it (the area where you adjust the intonation screws or the gripper as I call it) and you will see the little screw to make the adjustment.Hold down the trem arm and make the adjustment and bam! Your in......

    hope it helps.

What size is the allen wrench that will tighten the trem bar?

Edit: Nevermind. I found the answer, and it is a 1.5mm allen wrench.
