I finally got to give them all a good playing.

The Japanese Ash sounds thinker and richer than the normal BFR, I'm glad, 'cause not only is it the best looking of the three, but it's the best sounding.

It's funny, 'cause I found the walnut's sound not thicker, but more cutting and a little harsher than the others. It did sound big at the clinic, but my practice rig over here is no where near what John had at the clinic. I'll play it again through my legacy later, that will prove a better test.

The unfinished rose wood neck is not as slick as a regular Pet's unfinished neck, you can really feel the texture of the wood.

As for the Ebony boards, I'm a rosewood kinda guy. Ebony feels too hard under my fingers.

The Flamed Maple sounds more like a regular BFR.

Like I said, I'll play them all thru a better amp later and then update this post
