Will OLP Silo Spec neck fit?

I've been looking around a long time for a rosewood Silo Spec that has a little larger countour than most. I have a couple of maple neck SSs that have the shape that I'm looking for but haven't been able to find a slightly chunkier rosewood.* Would an OLP SS neck fit a regular SS? And are these necks OK like Mexican strat necks are to American strats? Or are they the equivilant to Squire necks? This way I'm not throwing away $ buying sight unseen if it's not the right shape. Thanks.

I'm not sure, but I would say probably not. Plus, the OLP neck would change the tone, probably for worse. I would just try different EBMMs to find a neck you like better.

Putting a "neck" on ANY guitar is going to take much "tweaking", especially if that neck was not designed specifically for that guitar!!

There are neck pocket issues, fret issues, scale issues, among many, many other areas you need to look at closely.

OlP is not MM, and although I like OLP (for the money), in my opinion are not "replacement" parts for MM guitars by any stretch of the imagination.

I know what you mean- my maple board Silo special does have a bit of a more substantial neck than some other silos I've played, I think that's part of why it sounds so great!

But an OLP neck is actually nothing like a real MM neck- it joins via a semi-contoured 4 bolt neck plate (so you'd have to dowell and re drill the holes) and the contour and width are nothing like a real silo neck- it's thinner and wider at the nut, it also seems to have a much flatter radius than the silo's 10", and different frets. It's also (of course) not oil finished, and has a kind of inexpensive poly feel to it. Not a terrible neck for the price of the guitar, but not even close to a MM.

Totally out there, but if you're desperate for a RW board I have a couple of new Axis necks lying around. Could trade one. The heel is slightly smaller so you'd need a small shim for the side of the pocket, but it's quite doable.

I hope they're supersport necks, for obvious reasons
