Steve Morse standard model; with the coil-splitting pot I installed (replaced the tone pot), I can get virtually any tone I want. With the proper right hand technique, I can even get a decent Tele bridge pickup tone...

I could post exactly what I want, but that doesn't help you.

I had been looking at the different EBMM guitars and thought for sure that a purple sunset Y2D was IT. I went and played all the EBMM models, courtesy of Pete, our resident EBMM supplier and found out what I liked and didn't like about every model available. I really do think you have to play what you're considering. Or maybe I'm just really picky. I've learned a few things lately.......that I share with EVH. I rest my palm on the bridge....I dig in (so center pickups are a problem) and if the volume knob is too close, I turn it down unintentionally while playing. Oh....and I'm almost as old as Eddie and had a crush on Valerie while growing up.....but that's another story. As it turned out, (for me), the Axis was the guitar that I could find nothing about that wasn't perfect. For you, it will likely be different.

07 Albert Lee SSS Black Cherry Burst

keep in mind that you are talking about four pieces of wood two pots one switch a trem along with springs two pickups and some wire.....BP

My A.S.S. is my go to axe. I love my Luke, but the humbucker on this beauty below just makes the fur stand up. Just so versatile...and damn fine to look at.

Try the most models that you can. I didn't have the time or the money to do it so I went with the cheaper model (not counting SUBs, which are not inferior at all) and I don't regret it, I love my Silhouette to death. Great tones in all departments. Unless you find any discomfort with the neck (JP might be too wide, Axis too thin, Luke is a V etc) you'll love each and every MM you find and you won't regret getting any model.

I love the Silos (not the Specials, I like 24 frets) and the Petruccis.

Right now my favorite model is the Silouette Special because of it's classic look and modern playability.

The Luke. The v-shaped neck is just soooo comfortable, and the body shape is perfect too. I like the fact that it doesn't have a pickguard, and it's very versatile.

Pic (not a good one, I admit):

I have to give some more love to the Silo Special - I guess I grew up on single-coil Strats and have successfully migrated to EBMM's take on the classic 60s version. I'll take the be alder and rosewood mix, thank you very much.

    Favorite model of EBMM Guitars?

Axis Super Sport. Maple neck. Honeyburst. Humbuckers. Tremolo.

I like 'em. I like 'em alot. I got two of 'em that's how much I like 'em. And, if I could get away with it there would be many more in my collection

btw, the first two pics are of my more recent re-acquisition. and the bigger pic is of some hack (me) with my first (and still numero uno)

    cheers always, eh

Definitely go try several out if you can. To me, each has a very different neck profile. I've tried all of them now -- with the exception of a few BFRs. The feel of the body's are also very different. In the past several months I've been lucky enought to sample all of the EBMM's -- minus the Gold Roller and AL BFR. I've been extremely surprised and pleased with some that I previously had no interest in. It's down to decision time for me now....

I can't pick just one. I love the regular JP and the BFR JP. I love the Silo Spec. I love the 20th Anniversary Silhouette. I loved the 2006 Limited Edition AL. I have an AL with MM90s, piezo and trem coming.

I still want a regular Silhouette, a BFR AL, a Luke, and an Axis Super Sport with piezo.

It doesn't end there, either. I still want more.
