Pete, since you played one, are the necks finished or not?

They felt slightly different than the EB oil/wax treatment, but they certainly don't have a gloss finish on them.

the necks are finished in a very thin satin acrylic coating. it still feels like raw wood, but protects the neck.

we wanted to do the oil/wax treatment, but felt that the satin finish was the better way to go for us. The guitars, being made in Indonesia will travel thru some different climates and the acrylic finish seemed like safer choice for us.

The JP50 does have a thinner profile than the rest of the guitars in this line up. Its an even taper. Its got a slight U profile, and is thin!

the AX20, AX40 and Silo 20 use the asymetrical carve. It feels great and is very comfortable.

I hop on a plane tomorrow morning for Indonesia to supervise the first round of production.

Pat, I was pleasantly surprised by the asymmetrical neck on the Silhouette, and I can't wait to get our first batch. Have a good flight!

Thanks Pete. It's a long flight but worth it. I get to hang in a guitar factory with a lot of these guitars. Can't wait.

Hello Pat and all at EBMM. First and foremost thank you for taking the time to post all this info. I don't want to seem ungratefull by any means but I was just wondering if there is goint to be any Silo Special type Sterling guitar? The reason I ask is because the SS is by far FOR ME, the most confortable, most versatile guitar ever made.
    Thanks

    Hi Music Man
Part of the reason for me being here is to get feedback on what models you guys would like to see. The models we introduced at the show were the models we felt were a good starting point. Please send us your ideas and suggestions. Sterling of course is going to make the final decisons on models we release, but we def want to know what you like to see.

    Thanks
    Pat

Ax20 with MM90s or a scratchplate with swimming pool route so I can swap different pickups.

    Pat,

I'm guessing this is a no-brainer, but how about some other colors for the Ax20/ 40? Trans Red, Purple, Green, Blue?

Totally agree that those colors would rock.

Other color choices certainly will come later. i would love to see an AX20 or 40 in a Trans Red or Purple. I actually used to own an original EVH EBMM when they first came out in trans purple. Miss that guitar.
