Unhappy Again: Trouble with piezo noise

    Hi there!

I have got a problem with my Axis Super Sport piezo bridge + preamp:
The piezo pickups sometimes gererated distortion, crackling and white noise. However, this occured randomly and so I sent the guitar several times to the Music Man customer service, they said they could not find anything and just sent the guitar back.

So I decided to take matters into my own hands and exchanged the preamp. So far I got rid of the distortion and the crackling noise. But the white noise is still there. As it seams, the white noises vanishes when I disconnect the saddle for the D-String. Seems, as I have to exchange that, too.

As it seems I am not the only one having this problem:

Did anybody experience the same problems and did you finally find out, what the reasons were?

    Many thanks

Again I will say....Dealer or Customer Service. E-mail or call them. You will get a million reasons why, who, when and how's before you get the right answer.

Like Koogie says, CS has got to be your best point of contact.

There's no way that we can even hope to diagnose what the problem is remotely.

Did you buy it new? In which case you need to be talking to the shop that you purchased from. Even some second hand purchases, if from a shop, should be covered by the shop's own warranty.

Unfortunately, so far the customer service was not able to help me - I was just hoping any of you guys had solved a similar problem.

my JP6 had a similar issue with the piezo on my E string, so i took it back to my dealer.. they rang me up saying they found nothing wrong, theyd tested it on and off for 2 weeks... but it hasnt played up since... not sure what was going on..
take it into your dealer and SHOW them the problem, then they may be able to help you out.
