Drop tuning device?

    Yep, it instantly drops the low E to D.

    and Am I right to assume that you are loosing the locking tuner feature ?

    Ok thanks, yep might be interesting to try but on the other hand I hardly switch from drop to D to normal within the same song

    That would jack up the floating equilibrium too. If you're going to do that you'll want to somehow block the bridge either with a Tremel-No or the tried and true hardwood block (TM).
    I like to play with my balls. Is that a problem?

    I was thinking the same. Stick to hardtails for gadgets like these.
