Good news fellas! It's been a busy couple of months, both for me and Dan (the painter for the guitar), but both of our schedules finally matched up and I was able to drop the guitar off to Dan to be painted today. He said the guitar should be ready in about 3 weeks to a month. Now it's just a waiting game!

The final touch will be getting new wires for most of the electronics, rewiring it all, putting the rest of the guitar back to guitar, PRAYING that all of the electronics are in working condition (we already know how many unforeseen things have come from this guitar, lol), and the guitar will likely need a good set up from my Luthier. I also intend on getting the back plate engraved with my name, the date of completion and the fact that it was restored.

Needless to say, I can't wait to play it!

I can't believe this project is nearing its end. When it started it felt like it would take an eternity before we saw anything definitive happen.

I just discovered this thread. Having gone through this process myself a few times i can totally understand all of the passion and frustration when setbacks come. I can say from my experiences with a "S" guitar i have had many offers to buy or trade for that guitar and because of the energy that went into it i would never part with it. This will be something that you hold onto forever and love playing.

Keep up the great work and i look forward to seeing the final project.

Glad to see everyone is as excited as I am to have this done. I'm dreading putting it all back together, but it's a labor of love as they say.

Scooby, it's definitely taken me long enough, haha.

peterd79, I have no doubt this will be with me as long as I'm capable of housing it.
