I so wish I could pull that one off...I had to take the day off yesterday because my kids didn't have school. Plus, my boss is a smart guy. He'd see right through any attempts to leave early.

I'm just going to have to do SOMETHING to make the rest of the day go by faster. 2 1/2 hours left to go. It's especially excruciating today because we're DEAD. So not only do I have anticipation eating away at me, but I've got nothing to do to pass the time.

No widgets to sell...unless you want a multi-million dollar insurance policy on your truck fleet, crops, horses, etc. And even then it wouldn't be me selling it. I'm just a lowly systems administrator...and nobody seems to be breaking any servers today.

Olive Gold is a way cooler color than it's given credit for. It's not as drastic as Mystic Dream, but it changes shades depending on the angle and the lighting. Really cool. And the Rosewood neck is SUPER comfortable and SMOOTH!

After playing it for a little bit I've gotten an ear for the differences between it and the BFR JP7s I have. The mahogany tone block really does make a difference on the BFRs. And the rosewood neck I'm sure adds a little "darkness" to the tone on this one.

The biggest difference I'm hearing is the bridge pickup orientation. Having the solid bar toward the bridge really adds a lot of bite and attack to the tone. With the pole pieces toward the bridge, the overall tone is a lot fatter and warmer.

And I'm falling in love with non-painted necks now. Every guitar I've had for the last 10 years has had a painted neck...I didn't know what I was missing out on.
