    thanks guys. This is the first Axis/Super Sport I've owned that I really like the sound of the neck pickup. Before, they've always sounded muddy/too midrange-y, but this one has some serious mojo. Of course, I was using a Peavey amp before so . . .

    and boy, have I EVER missed that neck. Best guitar neck ever made.

    My birthday fun continued today. UPS dropped two packages yesterday, and three more today.





    My new Blackstar HT-5 Head and 1x10, pedal board, Delta Lab Rock Distortion pedal, and BBE Two Timer delay pedal all showed up today.

    I've only had time to hook up my main effects chain and the amp, and so far I can give the Blackstar a rave review. The distortion is unbelieveable from such a small amp. The gain shaping feature works very well. I'm still tweaking it to find the sweet spot for me. The cleans are good as well. It probably could benefit from a clean boost and a little chorus. All in all, a killer little combo.

    Beautiful guitar. I see you ended up ging with the blackstar, very nice. The searches I did for your thread asking about it inspired me to max out the ol' MF card and get one as well. Amazing little guy, sounds crazy through my 4x12, but the footswitch barely has eough cable to reach the ground.

    Anyway, that's a great looking rig!
