Whichever style you get, you need the 8000-00 String Saver for imports. I personally like the String Saver Classics.

For the TUSQ nut, you need PQ-5000-00

You can also order block saddles from MM, or you can order different size adjustment screws for the bent steel saddles. Just sayin'..

I changed the saddles on my Silo to the graphtechs and I converted the trem to a fixed bridge and I only need to tune it when I change strings once a week or so and I play my Silo about 5 hours a day.

I installed Graphtech saddles on my SS, and I still break strings quite frequently.... maybe it's just me.

Just a side note: Is it just me or does it seem like Graphtech is dropping their "string-saver" line of saddles and nuts and are now simply calling them "Black Tusq". I've always read that the String Saver stuff was always just the Tusq material but with the whole self lubrication material added so it wouldn't be surprising if they simply felt it would be less confusing if they relabeled things. If you look on Graphtech's website you'll see that there is no discernable difference between the Black Tusq description and the String Saver description.

Maybe there is a sharp edge somewhere else? Before the Graphtechs, I broke a string every other gig. Now its maybe once a year.
