    Also, were many made with a rosewood board?

    Tim,

    I don't have exact numbers, but I know there were not many Axis (non-SuperSports) hardtails with rosewood made, and only for a brief period, mostly in 1997.

    Your sunburst Axis was completed on 9/26/97. That is a very cool piece!
