    I bought mine second hand off ebay from a guy in Atlanta.

    Axis Supersport G17244

    Anyone know the history of this guit? It's a flame-top and in pretty good nick.

    Your Axis was done at the factory on 10/10/01 and it was originally sold to the Guitar Center in Marietta, GA.

    Actually it's our database. There is no logic or reason or rhyme that we use for serial numbers as such, but every instrument we produce is logged and recorded.

    Your beautiful blueburst Steve Morse was completed on 9/14/01 and was shipped to France.

    Thank you for the very quick answer ! And you are totally right : my Steve Morse is beautiful, plays well and has a fantastic sound !
