Sure, Rex, your Axis is a fairly rare one .. a hard-tail, pre SuperSport Axis. This Trans Red one was built on 7/29/97.

I just picked up a beautiful 2006 EBMM Axis:
    G06101

I *think* it is a quilted and dark honey-burst. I'll post pics as soon as I figure out how!

I am happy to be part of the EBMM club.
Congrats on your new guitar and welcome welcome to our knucklehead world!

Unless I get the serial number wrong, your Axis is not so new -

Your Axis info according to our records: Built 5/10/99 - Honeyburst finish (we called it Sunburst then) - maple, matching headstock, originally shipped to GC in Dallas.

Wow, this one's not a guitar you see everyday (not that any of these are) - Axis Sport, Opaque White, SSS, standard bridge, maple fretboard. It should have a Black/Cream/Black pickguard.

Well, here's a little history on your Silhouette: HSS pickup configuration, Sunburst (as we called it then), solid maple neck, built on November 6 1991 and originally shipped to a store called Ligon Guitars in a little city in the middle of Illinois called Orient. It was owned and operated by one of our best dealers at the time Louis Ligon, a nice guy.

Beej, the 1st 50 Steve Morse guitars were built in the fall of 1986, but the exact dates doen't exist. What a great find!
