Wow, pretty blatant. Even the bridge looks real sans the MM logo.

Yep, not much on google. There is however a company Mastercraft that makes Banjos and likes to use a Shooting Star inlay. They don't seem to have a website. Does it say where it's made?

I think if I was bp my blood would be boiling... They even tried to rip off the style of the logos. Then again I'm the guythat buys my music, my video games and movies doesn't just download them. You gotta respect people's desgins and intellectual properties.

It's close but no cigar everywhere, lot's of stuff is slightly off.

That's really odd, and what's more odd is that none have ever surfaced here before- almost like it's a one off. BUT that bridge is made to resemble a MM, which would be weird to fabricate for a single build.

    Bizarre through and through.

Seen a couple like this before

When I was visiting home last March, I cam across a couple of these in a pawn shop in Bradford (Yorkshire, UK) city centre.

I was on the opposite side of the road and they caught my eye, thinking that they were the real deal...

I'm not sure of the name they had on the headstock, it was the same Silo copy... Most likely Chinese made, I'd guess.
