Since that's probably the one and only pic of it where I had the logo'd neck on the body, I've photoshopped it out so the photo looks like the guitar now does in real life.

The shape, choice to have a chamber on the one side, and the style decision to have chrome covered mini-humbuckers is to combine the looks of two of my favorite guitars.... the Axis....

... and the Charvel Surfcaster... so knowing that, you can see where I combined the two shapes, put the F-hole and chamber (which really makes the guitar's resonance pop) and hardware choices.

Great work! Have you considered building a neck from scratch, too?

I have done it in the past when I had access to a full wood shop... but since I now live in suburbia, and don't really have room for a workshop, I let the pros do the lumber cutting, and I stick to routing, sanding, finishing and electronics by hand (and hand power tools)

Nothing's more irritating than spending hours on a neck and even when you arent' playing that fret, you know that there's ONE fret you cut all wonky and the intonation is off.

I like it too. Too bad about city living---I think every house should come with a woodshop/workshop area.

Here it is hanging in the room my wife calls my "Man Cave" (guitars, amps, surround sound, and burgundy leather furniture.... why would she feel this is a "man room"? )

Note: The scraps of cloth on the other two hooks are precautionary... even though the manufacturer says the hooks are nitro safe, both guitars have nitro finishes and I'd rather be safe than sorry.

    Here's my next project...

I've heavily contoured the back (since the pic), added a scallop in the cutaway, and a bevel by the forearm. The bridge is a VINTAGE Floyd rose... NO Fine tuners.

The Electronics are most likely going to be a humbucker in the bridge, and then a slanted middle and slanted neck single. I'm working out the switching combinations, but I know there will be two blade switches side by side. One will work the humbucker with one of the positions being off... while the other blade is for various combinations of the neck singles including series and parallel. I have a couple other tricks up my sleeve as well.

I know a guy who uses one of those old no fine tuner Floyds in his main guitar, he says it sounds better than the fine tuner ones and sustains better. I've always thought they were kind of a cool snapshot of guitar technology history.
