    trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your pressious!
also, if you are lucky enough to have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on that one!

Thanks BP, love the behind the scenes stories from the past. One thing I've always wanted to ask is, and before this goes into taboo talk, the development of the Axis. I'm not interested in the dirt and BS behind the whole fiasco that it became, and I know you are tired of that, but the r and d of it. The nuts and bolts, how the prototypes developed. It really was unlike any guitar on the market at the time, and in my opinion still is. I own two of them, and right now they are my only guitars. I just would like to hear how it came about, ya know? Even if you leave you know who out of it. But aside from that, I realized that I have never tried out any of the other guitars. That will change though when I drive from Carlisle PA in two weeks up to Dubaldo's to see JP and John Myung. I have an itch to try a luke and an AL, and maybe the JP of course. Thanks.

I own 3 Axis Supersports and an EVH. Would love to hear some of the inside-baseball on the thought process during development.

    Love the blog entries...

    Big Poppa,

You should write a book sir! The blog entries are very entertaining. I think it would be amazing from not just a guitar perspective, but also a business one too!

If the book came in a rosewood hardcover I would pre-order one.
Seriously, a book would be awesome!
