It seems flamed necks are replacing birdseye (I seem to recall someone saying birdseye was becoming harder to source?). I think I would order a JP7 MD right now if I knew I was getting a flamed neck. I'm actually discussing this with Lisa as I type.

I haven't heard anything about that, but we did have a 25th come through on Thursday with a ridiculously flamed neck. Flamed maple necks are a good thing, just like birdseye maple necks!

I love them both. If I saw a JP7 MD with a heavily figured neck now right, either birdseye or flamed, I'd be in trouble.

You should hear the conversation I'm having with Lisa right now. It's going something like this:

Me: I think may call Pete next week.

Lisa: Sure, what are you going to sell?

    Me: Nothing.

Lisa: Too bad you won't be getting a Mystic Dream then.

Me: Can I borrow some money?

Lisa: It would be shame if I had to take power tools to your other guitars.
