    Guys, it's still an Albert Lee. Why change the name at all? If you put single-sized humbuckers in an AL, isn't it still an AL?

    I do like the "Fat Albert" idea, though. Very catchy.

    Just a wild assed guess but I was under the impression folks were just having fun and that by "naming it" it was more of a nick to refer it by. However, I've lost count how many times I've been wrong in my 50+ years.

    Well sure . Not trying to take the fun away. Just interjecting my perspective.

    Like I said, I *do* think "Fat Albert" is catchy and fits well.
