    GFS Pickups

    Has anyone tried these pickups?
    GFS Pickups

im about to change the pickups of my Sterling JP50, im really aiming for the CrunchLab/Liquifire or the Air Norton/Dsonic yet these costs a fortune here in the Philippines

I've heard of the GFS pickups, and saw many very great reviews on it!,
just a quick question; has anyone of you tried using these pickups?

if so, what would be the best or the pickups that can match with those DImarzios that Im aiming for?..

GFS are a great cheaper alternative because... yes they cost less!

I had a pair of "VEH" pickups from them. They did sound pretty good. For the money, I couldn't complain at all. The neck pickup sounded actually better than alot of the high end pickups I've had in the neck. The bridge pickup was adequate, but didn't blow my doors off. I'm thinking you probably would like the combination of a VEH in the neck, and a Crunchy Pat in the bridge.

I have a pair of their "Liverpool" Retrotron pickups in an Ibanez Talman and they sound really good for the money. You have to really understand the part about "for the money" because, for example, in my guitar I have no doubt that a pair of TV Jones pickups would sound better than the GFS. However, since the tone difference isn't big enough to justify the ridiculous price for a pair of TV's, I'm quite happy with the GFS pickups. I haven't tried any of their PAF or hi-gain pickups. You might try asking around Harmony Central, those guys are about as cheap as it gets when it comes to gear.
I done got no Balls no more!
