I read the entire thing and am glad you decided to hang around! Not to mention other websites, but if you have a chance, check out Craigslist. You can probably swap out some work for a guitar (??) Or, post your skills...I run an ad for guitar lessons and get calls from possible new students

BP's advice for getting out there (on foot or Internet) is solid

The Forum is here for you!

No Flash skills. I’m going to look into a web design course in the new year.

Hang in there. I have been in those shoes and they are not comfortable. However, be persistant in looking for work. You may have to take a job you don't like but you will have some income. Yes, stick around.

I’ve applied all over the place out of my realm of expertise. From a gas station jockey to a bus driver. I have just had the worst luck, thats why I’m giving my time to volunteering with the Diabetes Association as it may lead to a new career. I have the disease so I might as well help others who have it. That starts in January unless I get a real job.

To quote John Lennon and Paul McCartney “Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends / Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends / Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends”

Thanks again all for the best wishes and all the PMs. I’m defiantly sticking around here and soon enough I hope to be posting pics of my dream guitar... a JP6 Mystic Dream.

    Hey Jeff,

Not so long ago - I was at a point close to where you are now, things don't seem good now, I remember looking at everything in our house with a price tag to see how many months it would keep us a float,

Guitar is always a great escape, but you just have to keep going, there's no option, and it's not easy,

I interviewed 47 candiadtes for 2 jobs last week - and it was 8p an hour above minimum wage, desperate times out there, Bp is right though you need to keep momentum up - plus it looks good to future employers that you don't have a gap, you need to be doing something to keep the brain going and maybe it'll create an oppertunity,

This place is damn hot for positive vibes, bucket load sent your way, and hope the jumpstart gets you on the go -

    All the best.

What do you love? What do you like? You get a chance to use your past collective experience to help you in what you decide. The key part is even if its free or minimum wage go start doing something.....anything...that you like or better yet love.....volunteer at a store or a charity get busy and start momentum opportunity can only happen through change and action.....These are good words trust me.....A stationary object collects dust.....even if its an hour tomorrow it widens your circle and gets the network kickstarted and the bood flowing.
Thanks BP...I needed to read that...very good words.

    Hang in there buddy.

    Hey Jeff,

Sorry to read about the situation you are in. Stay positive. Things will work out in the end. And definitely stick around. You'll be back on the Ball wagon again.

    Thanks Scott, my fellow Canucklehead.

As I wrote in my last post, I’m defiantly staying around. I think every member who posted on this thread have told me to stay. That means a lot to me, it really does. It just goes to show you what a great family this place is. In time I know I will get my JP Mystic Dream, I just don’t know when that will happen.

BP, by the way... I don’t drink as its not a good mix with this disease. Thanks for your words of wisdom. Much appreciated.

Hey bro, hope you do get it soon, you deserve it.
I'm fortunate enough to have made a living in the music field. I can't imagine where my life would be right now if I wasn't a musician.
One will be surprise what one hour of good jamming can do, no therapy or drugs in the world can beat it.
